Anyone interested in taking any of my Feeder, Oasis or Placebo CDs off my hands?
Full lists of what I've got are available on request (i.e. you request them, I try and write them very quickly to make you think I already had them done).
May have some other stuff I want/need to get rid of (such as a Dilbert video box-set WITH TOY!!!) but haven't got it all sorted yet.
It never fails to amaze how you can seemingly know and sing along to a song for almost 10 years and then listen to it one day and realise that you've been singing words that just aren't there.
(nor, it would seem, how I can still drag a sentence on far too long).
OK, it was only 2 words that were really 1 that I was singing but that isn't the point.
Note to self: Keeping keys and AA batteries in the same pocket is a bad idea as eventually they will touch long enough for the battery to get hot and start to burn you through your pocket.
Due to a number of reasons (impending visitors, the desire to buy the new Reuben album), I need to get rid of a load of CDs. I've put a list on my site, hopefully there'll be something on it that one of you will want.
Anybody out there care to suggest any photo gallery software, other than using Flickr, that I could look at if I wanted to change from what I'm using now (Original : http://ajs.no-dns-yet.org.uk/photos)
Anyone out there happen to know the definitive, final tracklisting for the UK version of Ryan Adams' new album, Easy Tiger?
Most places have it listed with 13 tracks, including HMV who have it with an EXCLUSIVE SLIPCASE AND TSHIRT, WOO, but Amazon have it listed with 14 tracks and in a different order.
Any chance you can either fix Ogg Theora playback so that the video and audio stay relatively in sync or at least bring up a whacking great big message telling me what I'm doing wrong.
Totem and VLC don't see to have any problems with the files.
In what seems to be a week of revelations, I have just discovered that after about 7 years of trying to drink it and not enjoying it, Heineken is actually quite nice.
Why does it take me so long to discover these things!!!!!
After spending many years convinced that my laptop had no power cable for the mini-pci slot, I opened the cover today to find one staring at me. I could almost see it waving and shouting "You really are blind aren't you!"
All I need to do now is see if one of the mini-pci wifi cards that are spare at work will actually work under FreeBSD and I may be able to ditch the cardbus one I'm currently using.
Two reasonably long-term software goals of mine were finally achieved just 5 minutes ago:
1) I managed to (somehow) get banshee to build and run. I'll have to try and see if I prefer it as my default audio application
2) I managed to get Totem to play MPEG-4 videos (so I can watch all the stored episodes of DL.TV that I have). All it took was installing some software that I already had installed. Hmm. Oddness.
